Meet Anthony

Anthony DiLorenzo is a proud father, entrepreneur, and community leader with deep roots in New Hampshire. Born on July 4, 1964, in New Brunswick, New Jersey, Anthony grew up in a working-class family that taught him the value of hard work from an early age. At just eight years old, he began delivering the Fairfield Echo in Ohio—working only for tips. As a teenager, he also worked as a dishwasher, line cook, and waiter to help support himself.
Anthony first came to New Hampshire in 1983 to attend the University of New Hampshire, following in the footsteps of his father who moved there in 1979. What began as a college move became a lifelong commitment. Anthony has now called New Hampshire home for more than 40 years, planting his roots here and building both his career and his family. Anthony is most proud of his three kids and all their achievements - Amy (29), Rocco (9), and Theo (7).

Building Businesses, Creating Jobs

Anthony’s story is one of grit, determination, and the American Dream. In 1989, with just $7,000 in cash and a $5,000 credit card line, he started his own business. Two years later, he purchased Wakefield Street Motors in Rochester, NH. By 1995, he built and opened the Key Auto Center of Somersworth, and in 1997 he purchased Portsmouth Chevrolet.
Over the past three decades, Anthony has expanded that vision into one of New Hampshire’s leading automotive and service businesses. Today, he oversees more than 20 car dealerships and 11 collision centers, employing thousands of Granite Staters and helping strengthen local communities. He has also grown into health and wellness and real estate, continuing to build opportunities for families and workers here at home.

Giving Back and Philanthropy

Anthony believes that with success comes responsibility. He has consistently given back to the communities that supported him through philanthropy, arts and culture, veterans’ causes, and youth initiatives. His contributions include support for Cross Roads, the Scars Foundation, Prescott Park, the NH Film Festival, The Music Hall, Waypoint, Gather, and others, along with support for the City of Portsmouth.
One of his signature efforts is a recent public/private partnership with the University of New Hampshire. In 2023, Anthony provided a lead gift of $4 million to upgrade the Whittemore Center and Hamel Recreation Center. These facilities will come together as the newly named Key Auto Group Complex, ensuring student-athletes and the broader community benefit from modernized facilities for years to come.

A Life of Hard Work and Service

From his first paper route in Ohio—where he learned the value of earning through tips—to building one of the largest family-owned business networks in New Hampshire, Anthony’s life is defined by hard work, perseverance, and a belief in opportunity. He is not a career politician. He is a father, a businessman, and a neighbor who knows what it means to build something from nothing, to balance risk with reward, and to fight for a better future for the next generation.
Anthony DiLorenzo is a Republican running for Congress to bring that same work ethic, real-world experience, and commitment to service to Washington on behalf of the people of New Hampshire’s First District.
